About The Roberts Tree
"It is not so important to know everything as to appreciate what we learn." -Hannah More,
 British philanthropist and writer

This site is dedicated to my Roberts family members who are interested in their ancestory.
As far as I have found our family line started in South Carolina circa 1800 with the birth of Bird Roberts, I have yet to find his parents or siblings, etc. but according to the records that I have, he states that both of his parents are from S.Carolina. Bird never left South Carolina and died in 1888. All of Birds children except George Roberts left SC for GA.

Bird and wife had 3 boys William, Dempsey, George and 4 girls Amanda, Frances, Sarah & Ellen.
The 1850- 1870 Census records there is no wife listed until 1880 when a long time house guest/servant becomes his wife, Sarah A Griffin(s). I dont believe she is the mother of his children as she and William his first son are about the same age.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
